WordCamp Schedule Now Available

We’re about a month away from WordCamp, which means everything’s finally coming together 🙂

The schedule for the weekend is now published! We’ll have 6 tracks over the course of the weekend; so there will be something for everyone – from designers, developers, business owners, writers, and more.

If you’re new to WordPress, come for Saturday morning’s Introduction to WordPress track, then stick around and learn about design, development, or how WordPress is used at universities and colleges around the Boston area.

This year we’re also trying something new with panels! Saturday we’ll host a Design Panel and an WordPress in Higher Education Panel; and Sunday will host a Content & Writing Panel, and a Business & Entrepreneur Panel – so come prepared with your questions for our panelists.

WordCamp Boston is an annual conference celebrating WordPress, the open source software that powers over 25% of the internet.

Every year we have 30+ sessions on topics ranging from content strategy, to design best practices, to deep dives on advanced development ideas. If sitting in talks all day isn’t your thing, we’ll also have an open area where you can chat with other WordPress users, and a volunteer-staffed help desk for your questions. And you get all this with just a $40 ticket!

If you’re coming from out of town, we have a group rate at the Holiday Inn Boston-Brookline. We’re also working with other hotels for more group discounts. Keep an eye on our location page and twitter to watch for announcements.

We’re still looking for speakers and panelists! Want to present at WordCamp Boston? You have until May 15th to apply.

WordCamp Boston now July 23rd & 24th

If you’ve visited the site in the last day or so, you might have noticed a change… due to some schedule conflicts, we’ve had to move the date by a week. WordCamp Boston will now be July 23rd & 24th.

We’re still looking for speakers, and thanks to the date change you’ll have an extra week to apply! The speaker deadline is May 15th.

We’re also still looking for sponsors, if you want to reach the great Boston WordPress community, this is how to do it! Check out the sponsorship information here.

Watch for ticket sales opening up soon as well.

Some WordCamp Boston trivia: If you were around 5 years ago, these dates might sound familiar — we had the same weekend in 2011! It was also the hottest weekend on record that summer, so what better way to spend it than in an air-conditioned building learning about WordPress?
